Let's kick it off with something simple! Here are some lyrics to an uncompleted song I wrote today. Will I like them tomorrow? That's not the point. Enjoy!
--------
When I Looked Through The Fire
--------
When I looked through the fire
Saw jade on the sands
Tossed stones at desire
Played straight to the fans
Grasped all my ambition
Forced life onto string
Brought back the conclusion
Wrapped over by the spring
When I looked to the ocean
Couldn't bare what they'd done
Gave no cares to pollution
Only blistering sun
Drove my car from the railroad
Right into the sea
Climbed out of the window and
Floated to the reef
When I looked through the fire
Coughed black smoke to my love
Gave up on desire
Gave all to the stove
Burned figures abandoned
Stargazers ignored
Threw life by the flagstand
Saluted rivers of gold
When I looked to the ocean
I figured now was the time
Took a plank and with motion
Swallowed back what was mine
Bore the soft taste of poison
Hustled diamonds in green
And with the trampled commotion
Gave my last memory
When I looked through the fire
I saw reflections of me
None bore the scars I had gained
Nothing more could I see
