SO I spent two days with a song.
One day writing it and the lyrics, sorting out the chords and structure.
Another day refining it somewhat.
Another day refining it somewhat.
I'd later end up showing it to 2/3 of the band (because Kegan had to skip practice) and they helped structure it further. Was fun to play, loved the work they put into it. But I count that day as a Band Practice, which will be my next post.
This one's just about the two days I spent beforehand working on it.
AND HERE ARE THE LYRICS!
(Note: I repeatedly label 'Bridge' where there should be a Riff. Also, structure has changed somewhat, so not exactly what it is there.)
---
In my skin
In my bones
Don't judge what you can't own
I'm alone
I'm alone
[Bridge]
Still suspect the floorboard's call
Or the phone
Or the phone
Teeth lined up and needs erode
On I go
On I go
[Bridge]
[Chorus]
I know you won't believe
What shutters blinded never see
And before you reach the door
I'm gone, I'm--
[Bridge]
Still suspect the floorboards call
Or the phone
Or the phone
Teeth lined up and needs erode
On I go
Here I go
[Bridge]
[Chorus]
I know you won't believe
What shutters blinded never see
And before you reach the door
I'm gone, I-
Clutch my chest and then collapse
Clutch my chest and then collapse
Clutch my chest and then collapse
Clutch my chest and then I-
[Bridge]
[Bridge]
[Chorus]
I know you won't believe
What windows closed could never breathe
And before you reach the door
I'm gone, I-
Clutch my chest and the collapse
Clutch my chest and the collapse
Clutch my chest and the collapse
Clutch my chest and the collapse
[Repeat 'till fade, building up and harmonising]
